That density cuts both ways: there are more businesses here than most corridors, and a larger share of them turned out to be uncredentialed. We assessed 26 solar businesses across Morley, Bayswater, Malaga, Midland and Bellevue, ran every one of them through the New Energy Tech Consumer Code register before looking at a single review, and finished with four we are willing to put our name to.

The only ranked operator based in Morley itself, and the one whose paperwork lines up most cleanly. Solar4Ever’s Collier Road address on Google matches the head office recorded against it on the New Energy Tech Consumer Code register almost word for word, which is a better locality proof than a map pin on its own. Its NETCC region of operation is listed as WA only, so unlike the national brands further down this page it is not spreading its accreditation across six states. A 4.8 average across 95 reviews is a solid, well-established record rather than a handful of glowing entries, and it sits in the band where our weighted score barely discounts the rating at all. Collier Road puts it within a short drive of Bayswater, Bedford, Noranda, Dianella and Embleton, which is most of the catchment this page covers. If you want an installer that is genuinely local to Morley rather than one servicing it from elsewhere, this is the shortest list in the corridor and Solar4Ever is at the top of it.

PV Spark’s Vale Street unit in Malaga is confirmed twice over: it is the address Google holds and it is the head office recorded on the NETCC register, matching down to the unit number. The register also lists it as operating in WA and the Northern Territory, and as covering solar PV, energy storage and EV charging rather than panels alone. Sixty-seven reviews is the smallest volume of the four ranked here, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up: the weighted score pulls a 4.8 across 67 reviews back toward the category average more than it does for an operator with several hundred. What it does not do is cast doubt on the rating itself, which is consistent. Malaga is the eastern corridor’s industrial heart and a genuinely short run to Morley, Beechboro, Ballajura and Bennett Springs. Its accreditation date of October 2023 also puts it under the current code rather than the predecessor scheme.

The biggest operator on this page by a distance, and the one that best illustrates why we weight rather than sort. Solargain’s national head office is 10 Milly Court, Malaga according to both Google and the NETCC register, which lists branch addresses for it in the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria as well as Busselton and Rockingham in WA. So this is a national company that happens to be headquartered in this corridor, not a local outfit. Its 4.6 average across 435 reviews is the largest sample of any solar business we have assessed in the eastern suburbs, and a rating that holds at 4.6 over that many reviews is arguably harder to achieve than a 4.8 over 67. Our weighted formula still places it third, because it discounts small samples toward the average rather than rewarding volume directly. Read the position as a close third, not a distant one, and weigh the scale of the business against how local you want your installer to be.

Added on review, and worth explaining how it was nearly missed. Solar 365’s Google listing puts it at 5/13-15 Harvard Way in Canning Vale, which is why it never surfaced in any of the eastern-corridor searches behind this page. The New Energy Tech Consumer Code register tells a different story: its declared head office is 16 Clayton Street in Bellevue, on the eastern side of the city, the same premises as AVS Solar. Where the national register and a map pin disagree we take the register, because a register entry is a formal declaration by the business and a pin can be a shared address or a service area. On that basis this is an eastern-corridor operator, approved under the current code since August 2025 and covering five states. A 4.6 across 185 reviews is a solid, mature record, and it sits fourth on the weighted score, behind Solargain by less than two hundredths.

Four names from a pool of 27 is the tightest result we have published in this trade. The cuts are the useful part of this page, because several of the businesses that failed have better raw numbers than the ones that passed.
- Future Solar WA, 4.8 from 97 reviews, 2/279 Camboon Road, Malaga — a real address in the corridor and a better review record than three of our four ranked operators. It returned no match on the New Energy Tech Consumer Code register, searched twice under two forms of the name. We cut it on the credential gate and will re-check next cycle.
- AVS Solar, 4.9 from 76 reviews, 16 Clayton Street, Bellevue — the highest-rated in-corridor business in the entire sweep, with a verified Midland-area address. Three separate register searches returned nothing. Same outcome, same reason, same re-check.
- Four Seasons Solar & Batteries, 4.6 from 18 reviews — this one passes the credential gate, NETCC-approved since 18/12/2025. Google places it at 655 Marshall Road, Malaga, but the register records its head office as 9 Lithic Way, Landsdale, and the company’s own website states 1/9 Lithic Way, Wangara. Two independent sources outrank one map pin, so it is a northern-corridor business and belongs on a different page.
- Solar You, 4.9 from 17 reviews — no street address anywhere on its listing, and no register match. Cut twice over.
- Middle Swan Solar, 4.1 from 9 reviews, Stafford Street, Midland — a genuine local business with a real address, below our 4.3 rating floor.
- Solar 1 Nation Electricals, 4.8 from 415 reviews, Welshpool — a strong record and a real address, but Welshpool sits in the south-east industrial belt rather than this corridor. It is held for the Cannington and Thornlie page.
The addresses that were not addresses
Solar has a particular pattern that other trades do not: large, well-reviewed brands operating Perth-wide from a serviced office in a CBD tower, or from no address at all.
- Fritts Solar 5.0 from 326 reviews, Raf Power 5.0 from 43, and Solar Harvest 5.0 from 34 — all three list a suite in the same St Georges Terrace and Spring Street tower cluster. Perfect ratings, no premises anywhere near the eastern suburbs.
- Think Renewable 4.7 from 427 reviews and Technaus 4.5 from 358 — substantial businesses at Hay Street and Adelaide Terrace addresses in the CBD.
- Mt Solar WA, 5.0 from 39 reviews — a phone number and nothing else. The largest stranded record in this corridor.
- Captain Green Solar 4.4 from 476 reviews, Wangara, and Aus Energy Solar 4.8 from 305, Mount Hawthorn — real, credentialed businesses in the wrong part of Perth.
- National Renewable 4.8 from 304, West Leederville, DNX Energy 5.0 from 48, Nedlands, and SolarGrid Perth 4.7 from 72, Highgate — same story, different suburbs.
The rules that actually apply in WA
We do not publish a price table for solar because we cannot verify WA installed prices to the standard we hold ourselves to, and inventing one would be worse than omitting it. What we can give you is the regulatory picture, checked against the regulators’ own material on 6 September 2026. Rules change, we re-check monthly. Ask any quoting installer to show you where they sit on each row.

The 1 May 2026 change is the one worth understanding before you sign anything this year. Western Power’s WEM Procedure applies to what it calls Standard Small User Facilities, meaning connections below 1000 V with aggregate distributed energy capacity of 30 kVA or less. The practical effect is that standard connections now allow far more flexibility in system design up to an aggregate of 30 kVA, single or three phase, well above the old 5 kVA limit, which opens the door to larger systems and to future virtual power plant participation. The same procedure reinforces existing requirements that inverter energy systems comply with AS/NZS 4777.2, including the use of Australian Region B settings at installation. That last point is a setting your installer configures on the day, not something you can check afterward without help, so it is a fair question to ask up front.
What to ask before you sign
- Which accreditation number is on my paperwork? The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme discount depends on an accredited designer and installer. Ask for the number, not a logo on a brochure.
- Who holds the electrical contractor’s licence for this job? A solar retailer is not automatically an electrical contractor. If they subcontract the electrical work, that is fine, but you should know who is doing it.
- Are you a New Energy Tech Consumer Code Approved Seller? It is voluntary, so a no is not disqualifying, but the register is public and searchable and you can check the answer yourself in under a minute.
- Will my inverter be set to Australian Region B? Required under AS/NZS 4777.2 and reinforced by the WEM Procedure from 1 May 2026.
- What size system can my connection actually take? The 30 kVA aggregate figure is a ceiling for standard connections, not a promise about your specific property.
How we ranked these
- The credential gate runs first, before we look at any review score. Every business in the pool was searched by name on the New Energy Tech Consumer Code Approved Seller register. No match means no ranking, regardless of rating. This is why two of the best-rated businesses in the corridor are not on the list.
- Locality is proved by address, not by business name. We open the map place page for every borderline listing and check the pin, and where a national register or the operator’s own website gives a different address we treat those as stronger evidence than the pin.
- Ratings are weighted, not sorted. We use a Bayesian weighting that pulls small review samples toward the category average, so a 5.0 from nine reviews does not outrank a 4.7 from four hundred.
- A minimum of three qualifying operators, or we do not publish the page. This corridor cleared that bar with nothing to spare. We will not merge two areas together to manufacture a longer list.
- Regulatory claims are checked against the regulator, every time. Nothing on this page is carried over from a previous article without being re-verified.
Common questions
Why are only three installers listed when 26 were assessed?
Because the credential gate does most of the cutting. The New Energy Tech Consumer Code register is the only public, name-searchable register of solar sellers that works in WA. The state’s own Online Licence Search can only be queried by licence number, and solar retailers do not publish their electrical contractor numbers, so a name-based licence check is simply not possible from public data. That leaves the NETCC register as the workable filter. Seventeen of the 26 were ruled out on location, being CBD serviced offices or businesses genuinely based in other corridors. Of the nine that were either in the eastern suburbs or could not be placed at all, three cleared the register, one cleared it but proved on its own website to be a northern-corridor business, one fell below our rating floor, two had no verifiable street address anywhere, and two returned no register match. Three is a thin list, and we would rather publish a thin honest one than pad it.
Is the New Energy Tech Consumer Code the same as a licence?
No, and it is worth being clear about that. The code is voluntary and ACCC-authorised, administered by the Clean Energy Council, and it replaced the older Approved Solar Retailer program in February 2023. A business can be entirely legal, licensed and accredited without being a signatory. We gate on it because it is the only register we can actually search by name in WA, and because it returns a head office street address, which doubles as independent locality proof. A business that failed our gate has not been found to have done anything wrong. It has simply not opted into a public, checkable commitment, which means we cannot verify it the way we verify the others.
Does Malaga count as Perth’s eastern suburbs?
Malaga sits in the City of Swan, north-east of the CBD, and it is the industrial estate that most of the eastern corridor’s trades operate out of. It is a ten minute drive from Morley and services Bayswater, Beechboro, Noranda, Ballajura and Bennett Springs comfortably. We have grouped it with Morley here because that is how the businesses themselves operate, not to widen the search area. Midland and Bellevue were included in the sweep for the same reason and produced two candidates, though neither ended up ranked.
Solargain has 435 reviews and ranks third. Is that not backwards?
It is a fair challenge. Our weighting deliberately does not reward review volume on its own, because volume is largely a function of how long a company has been trading and how many jobs it does, not how well it does them. What the weighting does is trust a large sample more than a small one, which means Solargain’s 4.6 is taken close to face value while a 4.8 from 67 reviews is discounted toward the category average. The three scores land within 0.065 of each other. That is a genuinely tight table and the copy above says so. If you want the largest and most established operator of the three, it is Solargain, and its Malaga head office is real.
How often is this page updated?
Monthly. Google ratings move, review counts climb, and register listings are added and removed, so a ranking that was accurate in September will drift by December. Businesses that we cut for a missing register match are specifically re-checked each cycle, because that is the most likely thing to change.
